ACOUSTIC GLASS

With noise pollution worsening, originating from air, road and rail travel, factories and plant machinery, acoustic laminated glass reduces excess sound to enjoyable levels, and to meet noise regulations. Acoustic glass in double glazing form is comprised of an interlayer which dampens noise to prevent sound frequencies from vibrating between panes of glass, weakening and absorbing sound energy, and creating a noise barrier. Interestingly, by varying the thicknesses of the glass sheets, more noise control is added. Sound reducing glass operates more efficiently in lower temperatures, as the soft interlayer absorbs the sound. The plastic interlayer also contributes to safety and security aspects.
